Itinerary

DAY 1: Start of tour in Amsterdam

Meet your tour leader and group at the hotel this morning. Then, visit a Dutch farm to learn how local cheese and clogs are crafted! Enjoy lunch in Amsterdam before admiring the city’s 17th-century architecture on a canal cruise. Embark on the Timeless Holland excursion to see windmills and enjoy coastal cuisine. This evening is free to explore Amsterdam.

DAY 2: Amsterdam - Rhine Valley

Travel to the Rhine Valley, one of the most picturesque regions of Germany. Arrive in Boppard for a wine tasting. Next, cruise the Rhine River. Admire vineyards, lofty cliffs and medieval German towns! Later, visit a local artisan to see traditional beer steins and cuckoo clocks being made. This evening, unwind with dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3: Rhine Valley - Ulm - Innsbruck

Head to Innsbruck, Austria, with a stop in Ulm. This historic German city was the birthplace of Albert Einstein and is home to the world’s tallest church steeple! Arrive in Innsbruck and embark on an orientation tour of this picture-perfect city surrounded by stunning mountains. This evening, join the optional Tyrol folk evening for a taste of Austrian culture!

DAY 4: Innsbruck - Verona - Venice

Journey to the enchanting city of Venice! Visit Verona along the way; the setting for Romeo and Juliet! Next, arrive in Venice. This floating city is home to timeless waterways and artistic masterpieces. Join the Evening in Venice optional excursion for a twilight water taxi, as well as a gondola ride and dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: Venice - Lucerne - Swiss Alps

Travel to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities, home to a cobalt lake and well-preserved old town. Take to the water for postcard-perfect views on the optional Lake Lucerne cruise. After a brief orientation tour, enjoy free time before jumping back on the coach, and continuing to the hotel in the Swiss Alps. Enjoy an included dinner tonight.

DAY 6: Swiss Alps - Burgundy

Enjoy free time in the majestic Swiss Alps this morning. For a unique Alpine experience, join the Jungfraujoch optional excursion. Next up, travel into Dijon, in France’s Burgundy region. Dijon is home to excellent museums and fabulous Renaissance architecture as well as delicious food and French wine! Enjoy a group dinner after the orientation tour.

DAY 7: Burgundy - Paris

Next up is Paris, the dazzling “City of Lights”! Cruise the River Seine past iconic landmarks like the Louvre while enjoying a classic French baguette lunch onboard. Then, embark on a driving tour. Admire iconic landmarks and visit a perfume museum. This evening, choose optional experiences like An Evening in Montmartre or a Parisian Cabaret!

DAY 8: Paris - Brussels - End of tour in Amsterdam

En route back to Amsterdam, stop in Brussels, the Belgian capital. Be sure to sample typical Belgian fare; moules et frites, beer, chocolate and waffles! A photo stop at Brussels’ incredible Atomium is also on the agenda. Afterwards, continue on to Amsterdam, where the tour officially ends. We hope you've enjoyed this whirlwind tour of Europe!
