Itinerary

DAY 1: Start of tour in Munich

Welcome to Munich! Meet up with your tour leader before heading into the city for an orientation tour. To explore more, join today’s optional excursion. Learn more about Munich’s top sights and taste delicious Bavarian cuisine! This evening, get to know your fellow passengers and tour leader over a three-course dinner in a traditional Bavarian restaurant.

DAY 2: Nuremberg - Prague

En route to Prague, visit Nuremberg and enjoy an orientation tour of Bavaria’s second-largest city. Then, it’s on to Prague. The beautiful capital city of the Czech Republic boasts exquisite Baroque, Gothic, Art Nouveau and Cubist architecture. After a walking tour with a local guide, experience authentic Czech cuisine at a local restaurant for dinner.

DAY 3: Prague: Free Day

The day is yours to enjoy the fairytale magic of Prague! Join the Prague+ excursion for deeper insight into the city including a visit to the magical Prague Castle. Or, join this afternoon’s Prague Tastes & Tales excursion to learn about Prague’s history and tour the Slivovitz distillery. And tonight, opt for an evening of traditional Czech music, dance and food!

DAY 4: Prague - Auschwitz - Krakow

Leaving Prague behind, continue to Krakow. En route, visit the harrowing grounds of Auschwitz concentration camp for a guided tour. After, travel on to Krakow. The royal capital of Poland for centuries, Krakow is home to some of Europe’s most impressive Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Check into tonight’s accommodation and enjoy an included dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5: Krakow: Free Day

Start the day with a guided walking tour. Learn all about the history and significance of Krakow’s top sights. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish! Take an optional excursion to the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine. Descending underground, you’ll walk through 2km of tunnels, chapels, reliefs and freestanding sculptures carved from salt rock walls!

DAY 6: Banska Bystrica - Budapest

Today, enjoy a visit to Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. Embark on an orientation tour of this picturesque town. Next up is Budapest, the Hungarian capital! Arrive and embark on a driving tour. See the Houses of Parliament and drive along the riverside admiring the city. Tonight’s meal is at a local restaurant- a great chance to try the local cuisine!

DAY 7: Budapest: Free Day

Make the most of a free day in this incredible city. Join the Budapest+ optional excursion to experience architectural delights such as St. Stephen’s Basilica and cultural hotspots like Central Market. Or, choose to experience thermal waters at the famous Szechenyi Baths. Finish your day with an optional evening cruise along the Danube and see the city illuminated at night!

DAY 8: Bratislava - Vienna

Today, the grandeur of Vienna is calling! Visit Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital en route. See the city’s main sights and spot Bratislava Castle, which overlooks the city. On arrival in Vienna, enjoy a driving tour. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious dinner. The perfect ending to your time in Vienna is a classical concert in an exquisite venue where Mozart himself once performed!

DAY 9: Vienna - Graz - Ljubljana

Leaving Vienna behind, head for the charming city of Ljubljana, making a stop in the beautiful city of Graz to enjoy an orientation tour on the way. Arrive in Ljubljana and enjoy a walking tour of this little gem of a city. Tonight, explore a little more! Choose to join the optional excursion to experience local Slovenian culture and cuisine.

DAY 10: Ljubljana - Lake Bled - Salzburg - Munich

Depart Ljubljana and travel towards Munich. Along the way, stop at beautiful Lake Bled and perhaps try the famous Bled Cream Cake. Next up, visit picture-perfect Salzburg, Austria. Featuring gorgeous architecture, a cliff-top fortress and impressive mountain ranges in the distance, you may think you’re in a fairytale! Shortly afterwards travel onwards to Munich for a free evening.

DAY 11: End of tour in Munich

After 11 incredible, experience-filled days, this Eastern European adventure concludes after breakfast.
